Igiul is a touching homage to Luigi Boccherini and is the second movement of the four-part work L.B. Files, which was commissioned by the 2005 Kronberg Cello Festival. Igiul has quickly become one of Sollima's best known and most performed titles, and is featured on Sony's cd We Were Trees and Decca's A Clandestine Night in Rome.
