A concert-event in which poems by Cees Nooteboom closely intertwine with compositions by the great cellist Giovanni Sollima. On this special occasion, Giovanni Sollima proposes Spasimo (“Pang”), one of his beloved works, after more than ten years since he last performed it. The concert, composed in 1995 with recited inserts, is a fascinating and evocative musical journey, a meeting of different voices: a dialogue between the expressive sensitiveness of an outstanding musician and the counterpoint of Cees Nooteboom’s intense poetic verses.
