Artist in residence at the Cello Biennale 2018 in Amsterdam, on October 19th in the main hall of the Muziekgebouw, Sollima plays with Anastasia Kobekina and the Nederlands Philharmonisch Orkest conducted by Alexander Joel the piece for two cellos andorchestra "Antidotum Tarantulae XXI", which was performed in world premiere in 2014 by the Chicago Symphony Orchestra conducted by Riccardo Muti, with Yo-Yo Ma as the second cello.
During the evening Sollima will receive the "Anner Bijlsma Award", a prestigious international award established in 2014 as a recognition for the people and organizations that have contributed in an exceptional way to the diffusion of the cellos repertoire in the world.
