Once again guest of the Associazione Filarmonica “Eliodoro Sollima”, Christoph Hartmann - the renowned oboist of the Berliner Philharmoniker, considered one of the contemporary greatest virtuoso of oboe – come back to to play in Palermo, a city to which he is linked by love for Antonio Pasculli, the "Paganini of the of whom Hartmann has also rediscovered rare and unpublished pages making this musician known all over the world.
Alongside this extraordinary soloist will be GliArchiEnsemble, a chamber orchestral group founded in Palermo from part of the Orchestra of the Teatro Massimo and of the Orchestra Sinfonica Siciliana, an ensemble of well-established international experience.
The program, various and interesting, ranges from Baroque to contemporaries, and also provides a first absolute performance: "Ansia di luce"" by Eliodoro Sollima, an unpublished manuscript for oboe and strings, that Giovanni Sollima, son of Eliodoro, rebuilt and orchestrated precisely for this occasion. Another contemporary page will be the “Concertino” for oboe and string by the Brazilian composer Fernando Deddos (premiere in Palermo). The program will be completed by Pasculli, Bellini, Mendelssohn, Grieg and Albinoni.
