Bio

Marco Taralli was born in 1967 in L'Aquila, where he completed his musical studies at the Conservatory "Alfredo Casella" obtaining a diploma in piano with honours.

 

He studied composition with Sergio Rendine, conducting with Gianluigi Gelmetti and, at the Franz Liszt Academy of Budapest, with Erwin Lukacs. His music has been performed by soloists and conductors such as Marianna Pizzolato, Luca Vignali, Francesca Franci, Bruno Praticò, Daniela Barcellona, Joseph Andaloro, Federico Mondelci, Michele Mariotti, Antonello Fogliani, Federico Longo, Gianluigi Gelmetti, Vittorio Parisi, Christopher Franklin, and orchestras including the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, the Berlin-Brandenburg Kammerphilharmonie, Sächsische Kammer Philharmonie Orchestra, the Russian Rostov State Musical Theatre.

 

He is known for a series of bright and good orchestral works of musical theater, commissioned by leading musical institutions, Festival and Italian and foreign theaters including the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, the Solisti Aquilani, the Monteverdi Festival in Cremona, the International Festival Kitzingen, the Rossini Festival in Wildbad, the Pergolesi Spontini Festival, the Festival di Jesi Itria Valley, the Rome Opera, the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa, Teatro Liceu in Barcelona.
